The Invisible Man's Revenge is an American feature film of the science fiction and horror genres. It is the fifth installment in the Invisible Man film series and the final film in the series, succeeding 1942's Invisible Agent, directed by Edwin L. Marin. The Invisible Man's Revenge shies away from the action/war-drama feel of its predecessor, returning instead to its psycho-thriller horror roots. The film was directed by Ford Beebe and written by Bertram Millhauser based on concepts originally developed by H. G. Wells. It was produced by Universal Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on June 9th, 1944.
The Invisible Man's Revenge stars Jon Hall reprising his role of Robert Griffin from Invisible Agent - the grandson of Jack Griffin, the original Invisible Man. The movie also stars Leon Errol as Herbert, John Carradine as Doctor Drury, Alan Curtis as Mark Foster, Evelyn Ankers as Julie Herrick and Gale Sondergaard as Lady Irene Herrick.
Whereas in Invisible Agent, Jon Hall's character was a heroic leading man, in this film he is a tormented psychotic, who is a fugitive from justice. Having once again received the invisibility formula from Doctor Drury, he escapes from a mental institution seeking revenge upon the lofty Herrick family.
