Hill House is a fictional haunted house featured in the 1959 novel The Haunting of Hill House by author Shirley Jackson. It was used as the central setting for the 1963 feature film adaptation of Jackson's book, The Haunting. Hill House was also the main setting for the 1999 remake of The Haunting. In the remake, the house was located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.
