The Fearless Vampire Killers is an English feature film of the vampire fiction and comedy genres. It was directed by Roman Polanski with a story and screenplay written by Gérard Brach. It was produced by Cadre Films & Filmways Pictures and distributed in the United Kingdom and the United States through Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It first opened in the United Kingdom in February, 1967. It premiered in the United States on November 13th, 1967. The movie stars Jack MacGowran as Professor Abronsius, with director Roman Polanski taking on the role of Alfred, Alfie Bass as the inn-keeper, Shagal, and Sharon Tate as Sarah Shagal.

Manson follower Susan Atkins stabbed Sharon Tate repeatedly, who was eight and 1/2 months pregnant at the time.
