- Corey Haim's mother accused actor Dominick Brascia from Friday the 13th: A New Beginning of sexually assaulting Haim on the set of The Lost Boys. No evidence supporting the allegation ever surfaced. Another actor who appeared in both films was Corey Feldman, who was a friend and contemporary of Corey Haim.
- Corey Haim was found dead in his home in Burbank, California from an apparent drug overdose on March 11th, 2010. He was only 38-years-old.
- Corey's appearance in Lost Boys: The Tribe is featured in the closing credits as well as the deleted scenes of the film only.
- A special dedication to Corey Haim was given at the beginning of 2010's Lost Boys: The Thirst. Haim was originally offered a part in the film, but turned it down. However, he was open to the idea of participating in a fourth film should one emerge.
