The Broken is a French and British co-produced feature film of the psychological and supernatural thriller subgenre of horror. It was written and directed by Sean Ellis. The movie was produced by Gaumont International Television, Left Turn Films, and Ugly Duckling Films. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18th, 2008. It was screened at the Gérardmer Film Festival in France on January 25th, 2008. It was screened in the United Kingdom at FrightFest on August 24th, 2008.
