Audra Phillips is a fictional actress and a supporting character featured in the novel IT by author Stephen King. She appeared in the 1990 television miniseries It where she was played by actress Olivia Hussey. She also appeared in the 2019 feature film adaptation, It: Chapter Two, and was played by Jess Weixler.
Biography[]
Audra Phillips was a European film actress and model, who lived in England with her American husband, Bill Denbrough, who was a screenwriter. Audra was hired to act as a character in a film based on one of her husband's books. Before the project could get underway however, Bill was summoned back to his hometown of Derry, Maine in order to deal with a horrific nightmare stemming from his childhood.
Although Bill returned to the United States by himself, Audra decided to follow after him. She was targeted by a mysterious otherworldly entity colloquially referred to as "IT", who used its "dead lights" to hypnotize Audra, placing her into a catatonic state. IT then used Audra as bait to lure Bill into a trap.
Bill Denbrough and his childhood friends succeeded in defeating IT, and Audra miraculously survived being exposed to the dead lights. Bill took Audra upon his old bicycle, "Silver", and rode off with her. Audra revived from her catatonic state inside of Bill's arms, and the couple were able resume their regular lives.

- The version of Audra that appears in the 2019 film It: Chapter Two is an extremely abridged version of the character from the novel. Unlike her novel and miniseries counterparts, Audra does not chase after Bill when he decides to return to Derry.
