Europe is one of the seven continents and is generally divided by Eastern Europe and Western Europe. It is also comprised of Eurasia, which is a socio-political supercontinent that includes Asia. People from Europe are called European, a term which also applies to the cultures found in the different regions. Europe is bordered to the west by the Atlantic Ocean and by the Arctic Ocean to the north. To the south it is bordered by the Black Sea and the Mediterranean sea and by Russia to the east.
Continental Europe includes the United Kingdom which is comprised of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
