Elizabeth Craft is a television series producer, screenwriter and story editor born in Kansas City, Missouri. In terms of supernatural fiction, she is best known for her work on the popular WB Network vampire series Angel as well as the even more popular Vampire Diaries, which began production in 2009 on the later iteration of the WB, the CW Network. Elizabeth often collaborates with fellow producer Sarah Fain.

Elizabeth began working on Angel in 2002, first as a story editor and later an executive story editor beginning with the season four episode "Supersymmetry". Craft also co-wrote the screenplay for that episode, along with Sarah Fain. She was credited as story editor on 18 episodes of the series, executive story editor on 22 episodes and co-wrote 8 episodes between 2002 and 2004.

Beginning in 2010, Elizabeth worked as a consulting producer on season two of the Vampire Diaries, starting with the season premiere, "The Return". Credited under the name Liz Craft, she worked on 19 out of 22 episodes from that season. Again with Sarah Fain, Elizabeth co-wrote the episodes "Plan B" and "The Descent".

Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain were originally scheduled to serve as showrunners for the CW Network's 2011 television series The Secret Circle, but stepped down from the project, feeling as if the show was too topheavy with executives. Craft's Vampire Diaries colleague Julie Plec was in the running to take over Craft's work following her and Fain's departure from the project. Craft and Fain are still given producer credit in the show's pilot episode. [1]
