Donald Briscoe was an American actor born in Yalobusha County, Mississippi on March 20th, 1940. He is best known for playing a variety of roles on the 1960s ABC television series Dark Shadows. He started the series playing a character named Tom Jennings] a man who was eventually turned into a vampire. He then went on to play Tom's twin brother, Chris Jennings, a tormented man who suffered his own supernatural affliction - lycanthropy. Outside of the mainstream continuity of the series, Briscoe played Chris Collins, a character featured in a parallel universe reality in the year 1970. He also played school teacher Tim Shaw, a character featured in a storyline frequently referred to as the "1897 Flashback".

Briscoe spent the final years of his life in Memphis, Tennessee, where he died from heart disease in 2004 at the age of sixty-four.
