Dogman is an American independent horror film of the werewolf fiction & urban legend subgenres. It was written and directed by Richard Brauer and produced by his film company, Brauer Productions, Inc.. It was released direct-to-video on November 6th, 2012. The film is based on actual folklore of a cryptid known as the Michigan Dogman. Stories of the Michigan Dogman extend all the way back to the year 1887.
Dogman stars Larry Joe Campbell as rural farmer Hanklin "Hank" Purvis with the late Mariann Mayberry as his wife, Dorothy Purvis. Actress Kimberly Guerrero plays the enigmatic Francis Wellman with Stacie Hadgikosti as the young sheriff's deputy, Samels. Tom Cilluffo and Luke Bonczyk round the cast as teenagers Jeshen Purvis and Sam Reynolds.
