Notes & Trivia[]

  • Copyright holder: Pathe Industries Inc.
  • Frank Marlowe, who plays the role of the taxi driver is uncredited in this film.
  • The structure of this story is very similar to that of She-Wolf of London, in which the main female lead is believed to a supernatural monster responsible for several gruesome murders, but in the end is revealed to only be the victim of somebody else's machinations. She-Wolf of London, coincidentally, was directed by Jean Yarbrough who also directed the The Devil Bat.
  • This is the second full-length horror film directed by Frank Wisbar. Early in the year, he also directed Strangler in the Swamp which also featured actress Rosemary La Planche.
  • As with The Devil Bat, this film was also referenced in Poverty Row of Horror by author Tom Weaver, published by Jefferson, NC, McFarland & Co., 1993.
  • Despite it's promotional taglines, there are no actual vampires in this film.
