The Descent: Part 2 is a British feature film of the creature feature subgenre of horror. It is a sequel to the 2005 film The Descent. It was directed by Jon Harris with a screenplay written by James McCarthy, J. Blakeson, and James Watkins. It was produced by Celador Films and premiered at Fantasy Filmfest in Germany on August 24th, 2009. Its first U.K. release was at Frightfest on August 31st, 2009. Its first cinematic release in the U.K. was on December 2nd, 2009. The movie stars Shauna MacDonald reprising the role of Sarah Carter from the first film.
