Debbie Stevens is a fictional student and murder victim and a supporting character in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. Played by actress Brooke Theiss, she appeared in the fourth installment in the series, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Later in the film as Dan Jordan and Alice are stuck in a loop at the diner while trying to reach Debbie's home, she falls asleep on her work bench while working out and sees Freddy Krueger above her while exclaiming she isn't afraid of him. Freddy forces the barbell towards her chest, snapping her elbows and causing them to sprout cockroach legs, a play on Debbie's earlier fear of cockroaches. She runs and finds herself inside of a giant roach motel, falling face-first into the adhesive on the floor. Trying to free herself causes the skin of her head and upper body to be forcefully removed, revealing Debbie now to be a cockroach. As Freddy peers inside of the hotel, he crushes it as Debbie screams. Her body is never shown afterwards, so it is likely that in the real world, she got crushed by her own barbell.
As Alice prepares for her final battle with Freddy, she is shown donning Debbie's spiked wristband.
