David L. Hewitt was a director, producer and special effects engineer of low-budget horror movies during the 1960s. He was born in San Francisco, California on December 18th, 1939. His first genre film was the 1964 sci-fi/horror thriller The Time Travelers. Throughout his career, Hewitt worked on ten different films in varying capacities. Mainstream films include Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Willow and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
