Dark Water is an American feature film of the supernatural thriller and ghost subgenres of horror. It is a remake of the Japanese film Dark Water by director Hideo Nakata. This film was directed by Walter Salles with a screenplay written by Rafael Yglesias. It was presented by Touchstone Pictures and produced by Pandemonium Productions and Vertigo Entertainment. It premiered in New York City, New York on June 27th, 2005. It opened to National release in the United States on July 8th, 2005. The film stars Jennifer Connelly as Dahlia Williams with John C. Reilly as Cory Murray, and Tim Roth as Jeff Platzer.
