"The Curse of the Werewolf" is a non-canonical title referring to a storyline featured in the 1960s-70s Gothic daytime soap opera Dark Shadows. It is a storyline that spans two centuries and two distinguished families featured in the series, the Collins family and the Jennings family - both of whom are bound, not only by blood, but by the curse of the werewolf. The story overlapped several other key ongoing plotlines, but began in earnest with episode 627, which introduced the character of Chris Jennings - a young, tormented man, desperately seeking a cure for his nightmarish condition. "The Curse of the Werewolf" storyline ran through episodes of Dark Shadows from 1969 to 1970, but also overlapped other arcs including the "1897 Flashback", which spotlighted Jennings' lycanthropic precursor, Quentin Collins, as well as the "The Leviathan Cult" storyline, which developed further a few of the plot devices introduced in prior stories.
