A séance has been held at the Great House at Collinwood; a séance which has suspended time and space and sent one girl on an uncertain and frightening journey into the past - back to the year 1795. Vindictive forces have sought her destruction, but now another force with even more terror at it's command has vowed to avenge her. And at this moment, a terrifying act of vengeance is about to take place.

Episode 442 of the supernatural soap opera Dark Shadows was directed by John Sedwick and written by Ron Sproat. It was produced by Robert Costello and first aired on ABC on Tuesday, March 5th, 1968. In this episode, Barnabas Collins plots his final revenge against Reverend Trask. Using his vampire powers, he summons him to the Old House where he forces him to write a confession, exonerating Victoria Winters of the charges of witchcraft. Afterward, Barnabas entombs him inside a wall in the basement of the Old House.
