Daniel Molloy is a fictional journalist and vampire and one of the supporting characters featured in "The Vampire Chronicles" line of novels. He was created by author Anne Rice and first appeared in the 1976 novel Interview with the Vampire, published by Knopf. The character has appeared in several follow-up novels and was brought to life on the big screen in the Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles feature film by director Neil Jordan. He was played by actor Christian Slater in the film. Daniel Molloy was also a main character on the Interview with the Vampire television series on AMC and was played by actor Eric Bogosian. The character was also featured in the Interview with the Vampire comic book limited series published by Innovation Comics in 1991.
