The Czech Republic is a European nation state located in Central Europe. It is bordered to the west by Germany and to the south by Austria-Hungary. It is bordered by Slovakia to the east and Poland to the northeast. It was established in 1993 after it dissolved itself from Slovakia under its previously conjoined name, Czechoslovakia. It's capital city is Prague.
The 1935 film Mark of the Vampire starring Bela Lugosi takes place in the Czech Republic. Count Mora, a vampire becomes the primary suspect in the death of a man named Sir Karell Borotyn.
Blade II, directed by Guillermo del Toro takes place almost entirely in Prague. A virulent strain of the vampire bloodline known as the Reaper virus has produced powerful creatures that can only sustain themselves by drinking the blood of other vampires. Fearing for their own survival, vampires find themselves in the unenviable position of teaming up with their worst enemy - the Daywalker known as Blade.
