The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb is a British horror film directed by Michael Carreras and written by Anthony Hinds (under the pseudonym Henry Younger). The movie was produced by Hammer Film Productions and was the second feature in their Mummy series following the success of 1959's The Mummy. The film premiered in the UK on October 18th, 1964 as a double-bill with The Gorgon. North American distribution was provided by Columbia Pictures who released the movie theatrically in the United States on December 31st, 1964. The plot of the film involves the discovery of the mummified remains of the Egyptian prince Ra-Antef. An American businessman named Alexander King lays claim to the find and has the remains transported back to England where he seeks to profit from putting them on display. His actions incur the wrath of Egyptian loyalists and it isn't long before the mummy of Ra-Antef returns to life to seek revenge against those responsible for desecrating it's tomb.
