Plot[]

A middle-aged man named Richard Vickers visits the home of Harry Wentworth. After forcing Harry to let him in, he delivers a cryptic warning relating to this ex-wife, Rebecca, who had apparently left Richard to be with Harry. He further insinuates that something terrible would happen to Rebecca should Harry accost him in any way. Richard declares that he always keeps "what is his" no matter what, and Harry grows concerned that Richard may have done something violent to Rebecca.

Richard drives Harry to an isolated area of private beach that he owns called Comfort Point. Harry finds a pre-dug hole in the sand only a few feet from the shoreline. Brandishing a handgun, Richard forces Harry to jump into the hole. He then orders him to begin pulling the sand in, until only his head is sticking out. Richard then sets up a television set, a camera and a VCR. When he turns it on, Harry is horrified to see simulcast images of Rebecca in a similar situation. The tide is rolling in, and it won't be long until Becky's head is completely covered with water. Richard coyly remarks that Harry might survive the pressing tide if he can hold his breath long enough. With that, Richard leaves and returns to his beach house.

The following morning, he drives back out to the site where he had partially buried Harry, only to find that the body is gone. He muses that the tied must have pulled him out. Satisfied that Harry is dead, he returns to his beach house.

That night, Richard begins hearing the ghastly sounds of something calling out his name. He searches the house, but cannot detect the origin of the sound. Finally, the seaweed drenched ghost-like corpses of Harry and Becky appear before him. Terrified, Richard tries to flee, but no matter what room he escapes to, Harry and Becky appear before him.

The undead lovers take Richard down to the beach and bury him up to his neck in the sand. As the tide rolls in, Richard begins laughing maniacally shouting "I can hold my breath for a long time!
