- The Creepshow franchise was created by filmmaker George A. Romero and novelist Stephen King. Inspired by classic horror comic strips published by the likes of EC Comics, it was brought to the big screen as an anthology film in 1982. It produced two sequels, Creepshow 2 in 1987 and Creepshow 3 in 2006. Creepshow: The Series was developed by Greg Nicotero and produced by Cartel Pictures, Striker Entertainment, Monster Agency Productions and the Taurus Entertainment Company. It began streaming on Shudder on September 26th, 2019.
- This series rated TV-MA. It contains strong language and adult situations. Viewer discretion is advised.
- This episode was paired with "The Right Snuff" and is the second vignette in a two-story episode.
- This is the first episode of Creepshow directed by Rusty Cundieff. His next episode is "Mums" in season three. He is also known for directing Tales from the Hood 2 in 2018, and Tales from the Hood 3 in 2020.

- The name of Grace and Andrew's dog in this episode is Dolores Claiborne. This is the main character and title of a 1992 mystery novel written by Stephen King. Dolores Claiborne was adapted into a film in 1995 starring Kathy Bates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Christopher Plummer.
- The ashtray on Mrs. Porter's desk is the same as the murder weapon that was used in the "Father's Day" vignette from the original Creepshow feature film in 1982.
- Lola makes reference to actor Jacob Elordi in this episode, who appeared in a 2018 romance film called The Kissing Booth as a character named Noah Flynn. Actress Molly Ringwald played the character's mother in that film.
