  • The name of Grace and Andrew's dog in this episode is Dolores Claiborne. This is the main character and title of a 1992 mystery novel written by Stephen King. Dolores Claiborne was adapted into a film in 1995 starring Kathy Bates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Christopher Plummer.
  • The ashtray on Mrs. Porter's desk is the same as the murder weapon that was used in the "Father's Day" vignette from the original Creepshow feature film in 1982.
  • Lola makes reference to actor Jacob Elordi in this episode, who appeared in a 2018 romance film called The Kissing Booth as a character named Noah Flynn. Actress Molly Ringwald played the character's mother in that film.
