"Night of the Living Late Show" is the fifth episode from season two of the horror anthology series Creepshow. It was directed by Greg Nicotero with a script written by John Esposito, based on a story treatment by Esposito and Greg Nicotero. It premiered exclusively on the Shudder streaming service on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021.
Plot[]
Simon Sherman is a brilliant inventor who has married into wealth. Taking advantage of his wife Renee's family money, he has developed the world's most elaborate virtual reality simulator, which allows him the ability to place himself into his favorite movies and interact with the characters. But what happens when Simon's experiences cease to be virtual and become reality?

- The Creepshow franchise was created by filmmaker George A. Romero and novelist Stephen King. Inspired by classic horror comic strips published by the likes of EC Comics, it was brought to the big screen as an anthology film in 1982. It produced two sequels, Creepshow 2 in 1987 and Creepshow 3 in 2006. Creepshow: The Series was developed by Greg Nicotero and produced by Cartel Pictures, Striker Entertainment, Monster Agency Productions and the Taurus Entertainment Company. It began streaming on Shudder on September 26th, 2019.

- Simon Sherman uses his virtual reality technology to transport into one of his favorite horror movies, Horror Express from 1972. Archival footage from this movie is incorporated into this episode. Characters from this film that are featured in this episode include Peter Cushing as Doctor Wells, Christopher Lee as Professor Alexander Saxton, and Silvia Tortosa as the original Countess Irina Petrovska.
- Simon Sherman finds himself trapped in the black and white reality of Night of the Living Dead, directed by George Romero in 1968. Archival footage from this movie is incorporated into this episode. Characters from this film that are featured in this episode include Duane Jones as Ben, Judith O'Dea as Barbra, Marilyn Eastman as Helen Cooper, and Russell Streiner as Johnny.
- Night of the Living Dead is also seen in the VR simulator that The Creep is playing in the opening of the episode. In the closing credits, VR images from Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead can be seen as well. Director Greg Nicotero worked on the latter film, and also played the part of one of the soldiers.
