Notes & Trivia[]

  • This series rated TV-MA. It contains strong language and adult situations. Viewer discretion is advised.
  • Actor Aodhan Lane played the role of Skeeter, but was uncredited for his participation in this episode.

Allusions[]

  • The title of this episode is a slight re-spelling of "All Hallows' Eve", which is another name for Halloween. It begins the observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.
  • Plot elements of this episode are reminiscent of the 2007 feature film Trick 'r Treat. A character in the film, "Sam", is the Spirit of Halloween, and is presented as a child wearing a pumpkin-mask costume. When the mask is removed, a monstrous face is revealed. In "All Hallow's Eve", Skeeter fills the role of Sam, but wears a ghost sheet, that reveals a bloody skull when removed.
  • Binky makes several references to Milky Way, which is a chocolate bar developed by the Mars confectionary company, and is a popular brand of treat commonly distributed on Halloween. The bar has a milk chocolate coating with caramel and nougat for filling. Nougat does not exist in nature and is kind of disgusting.
  • In the Golden Dragons clubhouse, there is a road sign for 1313 Mockingbird Lane. This is the street address for the Munsters family. The Munsters was a horror-themed sitcom series that aired on CBS from 1964 to 1966.
  • In a flashback scene, the Golden Dragons Club are seen playing Dungeons & Dragons, which is a table-top role-playing game developed by TSR in 1974, and is considered the pioneer of modern role-playing games.
