The Craft is an American teen horror/fantasy film involving the subject of witchcraft. It was directed by Andrew Fleming and written by Fleming and Peter Filardi. It was produced by Columbia Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on May 3rd, 1996. The film stars Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell and Rachel True as a coven of teenage witches. Robin Tunney, the central protagonist of the film is the new girl in town who learns that there are others like her who possess the ability to manipulated the forces of reality through magic.

- Both Neve Campbell and Skeet Ulrich also star in the Wes Craven slasher film Scream, which was released the same year as The Craft.
- Actress Holly Marie Combs makes an uncredited appearance as Tasha Powell. Holly is certainly no stranger to witchcraft lore as she is one of the main cast members and executive producers of the WB Network television series Charmed. In the show, Holly plays Piper Halliwell, one of three witch sisters who comprise the Charmed Ones.
- Actress Robin Tunney attended a Catholic high school. In The Craft her character Sarah Bailey also attends a Catholic high school.
