Overview

Congorilla, the Golden Gorilla, is an enchanted gorilla with a range of abilities. When the explorer and adventurer Congo Bill is given a magic ring by his friend Kawolo, he gains the ability to transfer his consciousness into Congorilla's body and control it as his own.

Biography

While Bill is inside Congorilla's body, Congorilla is inside Bill's. The two form a bond and share many adventures. Due to Congo Bill's involvement with the Forgotten Heroes, Congorilla assists the team as Bill's other half in heroics. Eventually, when the two are back in Africa, an attack organized by the villain Prometheus causes the deaths of the gorilla family Congo Bill and Congorilla joined, as well as their friend and fellow hero Freedom Beast. Most importantly, though, Congorilla's mind and soul was inside Bill's body, which was also killed, effectively killing Congorilla while Bill became permanently trapped in the gorilla's body.
