Continuities[]

Dracula[]

Cologne was a principal setting in the "Death Vow!" story published in April, 1980 as the second vignette in Tomb of Dracula Magazine, issue #4. The story was set in the years 1753 and 1823 and involved an elderly priest named Father Eisner who had captured and executed the vampire lord Dracula. The experience however, caused Father Eisner to suffer a serious heart attack however. The priest's young ward, Marie Eisner resurrected Dracula and begged him to use his powers to save Father Eisner. Instead however, Dracula tore the old man's heart out of his chest. Seventy years later, Dracula visited a dying Marie Eisner, intent on turning her into a vampire. Eisner drove him away with her crucifix and died of natural causes moments later.

Points of Interest[]

Reichenbach Clinic
The Reichenbach Clinic was a hospital in Cologne active during the early 19th century. The elderly Sister Marie Eisner was admitted here when she was dying of old age. The vampire Dracula entered the hospital, killing several staff members in order to get to Marie's room, but his efforts were in vain as Sister Marie slipped a crucifix necklace over his head, forcing him to recoil. She passed away moments later. [1]
