Clown is an American independent feature film of the killer clown subgenre of horror. It was written and directed by Jon Watts with a screenplay co-written by Christopher Ford. It was produced by Eli Roth as well as Cross Creek Pictures and Dimension Films. It premiered in Italy on November 13th, 2014. It opened to limited theatrical release in the United Kingdom on March 2nd, 2015. The movie stars Andy Powers as Kent McCoy - a real estate agent who finds an old clown costume and decides to wear it for his son's birthday party. Unfortunately, he quickly discovers that the costume is cursed, and he cannot remove it. Moreover, he begins to slowly transform into a killer clown himself.
