The Cloak of Levitation is a fictional mystical item featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and is one of the mystic items utilized by the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange. It first appeared in Strange Tales #127 in December, 1964.
Description[]
The cloak of levitation is a mystical item that enables it's wearer to levitate, regardless of size or mass and in some cases, fly short distances. Though there are many flying cloaks found throughout the worlds of the supernatural, this particular item is the sole property of Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange. The collar of the cloak was clasped in place by another important mystic item, the Amulet of Agamotto.
Doctor Strange was not above asking his trusty manservant Wong to clean the Cloak of Levitation whenever it got dirty or was stained. [1]
When Doctor Strange ceased to serve as Sorcerer Supreme, the cloak was handed down to his successor, Brother Voodoo. The cloak was created by an entity known as Eriniathon the Weaver.
