Allusions[]
- The title of this episode is taken from the 1981 slasher film Halloween II, directed by Rick Rosenthal. It is also so-named because this is the second time in Chucky: The Series that the Halloween holiday is observed.
- Repeated references are made to Batman in this episode. Batman is a comic book character featured in titles published by DC Comics. He was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane and first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May, 1939. Jake Wheeler dresses up as Batman for Halloween in this episode.
- Repeated references are made to Robin in this episode. Robin is a comic book sidekick and partner to Batman as seen in DC Comics titles. He was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane and first appeared in Detective Comics #38 in April, 1940. This episode also pays tribute to the version of the character played by actor Burt Ward in the 1966 Batman live-action television series.
- Lexy's boyfriend is dressed as Dracula for Halloween. Dracula is a fictional vampire who is loosely based on the Wallachian prince Vlad III. The boy's costume is reminiscent of the Universal Monsters version of Dracula as played by Bela Lugosi in Tod Browning's Dracula in 1931.
- The character of Doctor Mixter is taken from Frederick Mixter, who was the Chief of Staff at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital in Halloween II. He was played by actor Ford Rainey in the movie.
- Reference is made to a boy named Trevor Cain, who used to torment Lexy Cross when she was in the fifth grade. Her mother had him sent to the Burlington Home for Wayward Boys, which later became known as the Catholic School of the Incarnate Lord.

- The early scene with Chucky prank-calling Jake Wheeler is an homage to the infamous opening scene from Wes Craven's Scream, in which Drew Barrymore's character, Casey Becker, receives a threatening telephone call from the Ghostface killer shortly before having a fatal encounter with him.
- Chucky paraphrases a rather famous dialogue trope used in the Scooby-Doo animated projects. As was often the case in the cartoons, the captured unmasked villain usually intones some variation of the phrase, "...and I would've gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids!"
- Reference is made to Bride of Chucky in this episode, which was released in 1998 and introduced the character of Tiffany. This episode establishes that the film exists as a movie in the continuity of the television series.
- Numerous references are made to Junior Wheeler in this episode. Junior was Lexy's boyfriend in season one. He was killed by Chucky in "An Affair to Dismember" and was made out as the perpetrator of the all of the murders that Chucky had committed.
- Gary calls Caroline Cross Batgirl in this episode. Batgirl is a DC Comics super-hero, sometimes portrayed as a teenager, and other times presented as a retired computer hacker named Oracle. Her real name is Barbara Gordon and she is the daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon.
- Gary also calls Caroline Cross Batwoman in this episode. Batwoman is also a DC Comics super-hero whose real name is Kathy Kane. She was originally presented as a recurring character in the Silver Age era of Batman related comic books, but was revitalized in the mid-2000s.
