Christopher Pennock is an American television actor born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on June 7th, 1944. In the horror genre, he is best known for playing multiple roles on the 1966-1971 daytime Gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. Pennock first began on the series in 1970 with episode 935, playing Leviathan cult leader Jeb Hawkes. Later, he was brought back in a storyline that took place in parallel time where he played the dual roles of scientist Cyrus Longworth and his alter ego John Yaeger. The characters were a pastiche of Doctor Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde from Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novel, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Pennock then went on to play hippie psychic Sebastian Shaw and finally the evil Gabriel Collins in a storyline set in the year 1840. In 1971, Christopher Pennock partially revised the role of Gabriel Collins in a brief flashback cameo in the film Night of Dark Shadows.
Christopher Pennock is married to Lynn Pennock who was an extra on Charlie's Angels. Ironically the show also starred Kate Jackson, who was also a regular on Dark Shadows. Actress Jaclyn Smith was married to Roger Davis who was another longtime alumni of Dark Shadows.
