Charleston is the second largest city in the US state of South Carolina. It was established in 1901 and is the county seat of Charleston County. Located at global coordinates 32° 47′ 0″ N, 79° 56′ 0″ W, Charleston has a city-wide area of 164.1 sq mi with a land area of 147.0 sq mi. It's population, as per the 2010 census is 120,083 (city).
Charleston is the birth place of actress Helen Chandler who was born on February 1st, 1906. Helen is best known for playing the role of Mina Seward in the 1931 Universal Pictures horror film Dracula.
