![]() Chaos! Comics was an American independent publisher of comic books. It was founded by Brian Pulido in 1992 and specialized in titles of the horror genre as well as the burgeoning "Bad Girl" trope that became popular during that era. Main staples of the horror genre that came out of the Chaos! camp include Evil Ernie, Chastity, Lady Death and Purgatori. Chaos! Comics also produced material based on music bands such as Megadeth and Insane Clown Posse (ICP) as well as one-shot specials showcasing popular World Wrestling Federation (WWF) super-stars such as Chyna, Mankind, the Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Chaos! Comics filed for bankruptcy in 2002 and their properties were bought up by Devil's Due Publishing. Devil's Due published a second volume of Evil Ernie as well as a second volume of Purgatori. These properties were ultimately acquired by Dynamite Entertainment. The rights to Lady Death were sold to CrossGen Entertainment, and after that company folded, they were purchased by Avatar Press. Creator Brian Pulido founded the Boundless Comics imprint of Avatar Press, which exclusively produces Lady Death material. The Chastity property was sold to a retailer company, Tales of Wonder, after being owned by Devil's Due Publishing. Comics[]Chastity[]
