Cemetery zombie could refer to any number of similarly named characters. One of the more notable examples is an otherwise unnamed ghoul featured in the original 1968 film, Night of the Living Dead by director George A. Romero. This character was played by actor Bill Heinzman. This tall, loping ghoul wandered about Evans City Cemetery looking for fresh victims. He succeeded in murdering a man named Johnnie, and terrorized his sister, Barbara. The 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead by Tom Savini also featured a cemetery zombie, who was likewise responsible for the death of Johnnie. This version of the character was played by makeup artist and stunt performer Greg Funk.
