Biography

The cattle truck driver was a large black man who drove a "Black Maria" cattle truck through Muerto County, Texas in August, 1973. While driving down a highway, he came upon a bloody and screaming young woman named Sally Hardesty, who was being pursued by a chainsaw-wielding maniac known as Leatherface. The driver stopped his truck and got out to help Sally. He threw a wrench at Leatherface, which hampered his coordination, causing him to injure himself with his own chainsaw. The driver then ran off for safety, while Sally latched onto the back of another passing motorist.
