Robert Mulligan was an American film and television director. He was born in The Bronx in New York City, New York on August 23rd, 1925. Robert's first work in television was the 1950s, when he directed thirty-one episodes of the mystery anthology series Suspense. Immediately following this, he directed six episodes of The Philco Television Playhouse. Robert Mulligan's most famous film work is To Kill a Mockingbird starring Gregory Peck in 1962. In 1972, Robert Mulligan directed the suspense thriller The Other, which is his only known work in the horror genre. Robert Mulligan died in Lyme, Connecticut on December 20th, 2008 at the age of 83.
