Essie Davis

Essie Davis is an Australian film actress. She was born in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia on January 7th, 1970. Her first work in the horror genre was playing Evelyn Bookman in the 1997 TV movie The Ripper, which dealt with the subject of infamous murderer Jack the Ripper. In 2006, she played Mrs. Lovett in the television adaptation of Sweeney Todd. In 2014, Essie took the lead role of Amelia Vanek in the supernatural thriller The Babadook.
