Dakota Fanning is an American film and television actress. She was born in Conyers, Georgia on February 23rd, 1994. Dakota began her career as a child actress, playing a character named Delia Chadsey in "The Fastest Year" episode of ER in 2000. She made sporadic appearances in various programs before landing her first recurring role, which was that of alien/human hybrid Allie Keys in the 2002 TV mini-series Taken (not to be confused with the film series starring Liam Neeson). Her first major film work was in 2005 when she played the ultra-annoying Rachel Ferrier in the Steven Spielberg sci-fi epic War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise. Dakota's first work in supernatural fiction was in 2009 when she played Jane - a vampire elder in the film Twilight: New Moon, which is based on a series of books by Stephenie Meyer. She then appeared in The Runaways, written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, before jumping back on the vampire bandwagon with Twilight: Eclipse, and then once again with Twilight: Breaking Dawn (Part 2). Her next horror work was in the independent film Brimstone in 2016.
