Black horror refers to media with an emphasis on African or African American culture. This may also include media where the central protagonist or antagonist is a person of color. It should be noted that while some black horror media is celebratory of black culture, there are also examples that may present black characters in an exploitative context, and may be considered offensive, or at the very least, racially insensitive.
