The year HE came home!

1978 is the eighth year of the 1970s and the seventy-eighth year of the 20th century. It follows the year 1977 and takes place before 1979. It was a big year for sharks, masked serial killers, zombies, and evil children. Bruce - the 'sploded shark from Jaws apparently had a little brother, who decided to stir up some trouble for the bathers at Amnity. And if big fish weren't enough to make people retreat from the water, there's also a bunch of little fish that like to take a nibble every now and again. A thirteen-year-old named Damien Thorn discovers how cool it is to be the Antichrist and gets some key tips on how to promote Satanism across the land. A bunch of zombies decided to spend the weekend at a shopping mall, taking advantage of all the great deals - plus the snack bar! Over in Haddonfield, Illinois, a whack-a-doodle known as Michael Myers gets it in his head that all babysitters are evil and need to die.

Black Phone, The - The events of The Black Phone take place in 1978. A child abductor dubbed "The Grabber" kidnaps several children from Denver, Colorado. One of his kidnap victims, Finny Blake, communes with the ghosts of other victims in order to outwit the killer and fight his way to freedom.
