Camp Massacre is an American independent low-budget feature film of the slasher and comedy subgenres of horror. It was directed by Jim O'Rear and Daniel Emery Taylor with a screenplay written by Taylor. It was produced by Deviant Pictures and premiered in Germany at Movie Days/The Dark Zone on March 22nd, 2014. It was screened at Marble City Comicon in the United States on April 12th, 2016. The premise of the film involves a reality TV show called By the Pound which takes place at a campground on a remote island. Similar to The Biggest Loser, the show is a competition in which ten morbidly obese male contestants participate in various events in an effort to lose weight. And then a maniac arrives and starts hacking things up. You know how it goes.

  • Deviant Pictures is also known for producing the 2013 film The Hospital.
  • Even though the movie is supposed to take place on an island, Camp Loss is within driving distance of Bottomless Ray's Buffet. The commercial for Bottomless Ray's shows a telephone number with a 205 area code, which is an area code in Alabama. The characters of Andy Morrison and Greg Mulvaney are from Alabama.
  • The name of the pizza delivery business featured in this film is Raimi's Pizza, which is an homage to Sam Raimi - director of The Evil Dead, as well as its sequel projects.
  • Darc Ness wears a The Hospital t-shirt in this film. The Hospital is another movie produced by Deviant Pictures. Darc Ness is played by Ernest Douglas Nichols, who also appears in The Hospital as John.
  • Actor Dick Warlock is wearing a Michael Myers pin on his tie. Warlock portrayed the infamous masked killer in the original 1978 slasher, Halloween, by director John Carpenter.
  • The death of Hailey in the motel shower is likely intended as an homage to Janet Leigh's death scene in Psycho by director Alfred Hitchcock.

  2. Chuck Wagner: Stabbed in the chest with a knife outside the laundry room.
  3. Tim Smith: Fell backwards upon a broken tree branch, impaling himself.
  4. Arthur Paulsen: Plastic tube shoved into his mouth and filled with water, which drowns him and causes his stomach to explode.
  5. Ritz: Stabbed multiple times in the abdomen with a knife. Eviscerated.
  6. Darc Ness: Throat slit with a machete.
  7. Phillip DeGennaro: Choked with a chicken bone off-screen.
  8. Lexus: Face shoved into dead Phillip's stomach fat, which suffocates her.
  9. Erik "2-Ton" Rockefeller: Face dipped in batter then shoved in vat of boiling oil, then sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  10. Jarrod Sharaf: Bites into fish hook hidden inside a slab of meat, which is attached to a cable that pulls him into the blades of a lawnmower that is tipped on its side. Definitely the strangest kill in the entire movie.
  11. Donald Josten: Shot through the head with a bow and arrow through a window.
  12. Teddy "T.A." Adams: Steps into a bear trap then impaled through stomach with long metal pole.
  13. Little girl: Murdered by James C. Bartok off-screen in flashback.
  14. Police officer: Neck broken by James C. Bartok.
  15. Franklin Turnbloom: Sliced up by Stefani with chainsaw. Death unconfirmed.

  6. James C. Bartok: Hit by a pizza delivery van, but survives.
  7. Josue: Ran away from camp, but later picked up by Bartok. Future fate unknown.
