Cabal tells the tale of Aaron Boone, a disturbed young man who dreams of a mythological place called Midian - a place where "monsters can be beautiful". Believing himself to be a vicious serial killer, Boone sets out to find Midian, but soon discovers that the true monsters lurking in the shadows are not the nocturnal creatures living beneath the cemeteries at all, but rather someone quite close to him.
