The Burkittsville 7 is an American film short of the "mockumentary" and found footage subgenres of horror. It is associated with the Blair Witch film series, which was first popularized in 1999 with The Blair Witch Project. The film was written and produced by Ben Rock. It was released direct-to-video on October 3rd, 2000. The film focuses on one aspect of the greater Blair Witch legend - namely, that of Rustin Parr - the child murderer from Burkittsville, who abducted and slaughtered several children back in 1941; all while under the influence of the fabled Blair Witch. The film also showcases the life of survivor Kyle Brody, and the lifelong torment that he suffered as a result of being Parr's prisoner.
