A bully is an individual, usually male, who enjoys exercising power over those he feels are weaker or less intelligent than he. Psychologically, this is often one's attempt to compensate for their own personality defects or fears. It is not uncommon for a bully to have been the victim of bullying themselves, or of child abuse. Whatever the reasons may be, bullies always target those whom they perceive are weak, or those who are social outcasts. The nature of the bullying can range from a desire to humiliate to physical violence.

Halloween (1978)[]
In the original Halloween by director John Carpenter, young Tommy Doyle was the target of three bullies at Haddonfield Elementary School named Richie Castle, Lonnie Elamb and Keith. Taking advantage of the younger boy's superstitious nature as it relates to Halloween, they taunted him with threats of the "Boogey Man" and that such a creature of nightmare was going to come after Tommy. As Tommy turned to retreat, Keith tripped him, causing Tommy to fall over onto his pumpkin, smashing it.
Halloween (2007)[]
In Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of Halloween, a boy named Wesley Rhoades targeted the mentally unstable Michael Myers and bullied him at school. He accused Michael's sister, Judith Myers, of being a prostitute and made fun of the fact that Michael's mother worked as a stripper. A fight broke out between the two at the Haddonfield Elementary School and Wesley was forced to serve detention after class. After school let out, Michael ambushed him in the woods and beat Wesley to death with a heavy tree branch. That's what ya get for bullying, ya prick!
