Bucharest is the capital city, industrial, cultural, and financial centre of Romania. It is the largest city in Romania, located in the southeast of the country and lies on the banks of the Dâmboviţa River. Bucharest became the state capital of Romania in 1862 and steadily consolidated its position as the center of the Romanian mass media, culture and arts.
The low-budget monster movie The Werewolf Reborn!, released in 1998, takes place in Bucharest. The films Hellraiser: Deader and Hellraiser: Hellworld were both shot in Bucharest. The 2004 horror film Seed of Chucky was also filmed in Bucharest. Production began on November 28th, 2003. Principal filming concluded on March 18th, 2004.
