Brainscan is an American horror movie of the supernatural thriller subgenre. It was directed by John Flynn and written by Andrew Kevin Walker based on a story concept by Brian Owens. It was produced by Coral Productions and Admire Productions, Inc. and released theatrically in the United States on April 22nd, 1994. The film stars Edward Furlong as teenager Michael and Frank Langella as Detective Hayden. Taking on the role of the antagonist Trickster is T. Ryder Smith.

- As the end credits start, we hear the trickster say "Hey wait, it's not over yet" and the credits screen shatters as if it was made of glass. It then shows a scene involving a dog with the dismembered foot from earlier in the film, and then the end credits resume.
- A poster of the 1977 Dario Argento film Suspiria can be seen in Michael's room.
- In both Kyle and Kimberly's room, you see an Aerosmith poster for Get a Grip, which has the track Living on the Edge. Edward Furlong starred in the video.
- The track on the CD played by Trickster is called "Welcome to this World" and is performed by Primus.
