A bow and arrow is a set of weapons comprising a bow, which is a curved piece of wood with a string or chord tied tightly between both ends, and the arrow (multiple arrows is preferable), which can be nocked in the center of the bow and fired by slinging the notched end of the arrow onto the string with the pointy end facing the poor bastard you want to shoot, drawing back and releasing. Depending upon the tautness of the string and weight of the arrow, a well-aimed shot could easily take down any person who is seriously pissing you off.
In fiction[]
In the 1936 film Dracula's Daughter by Universal Pictures, the character of Sandor fired an arrow towards his mistress, the vampire Marya Zeleska, and the man she was attempting to bewitch, Jeffrey Garth. It is unclear exactly who his intended target was, but the arrow struck Zeleska in the heart. The wooden arrowhead served a similar purpose to that of a wooden stake and Zeleska died instantly.
In the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th, masked serial killer Jason Voorhees used a bow and arrow to murder a college student named Nolan. Nolan had been wakeboarding and Jason fired an arrow into his head. Needless to say, he died.
