William "Bill" Balas is an American television teleplay writer. He was a staff writer on the A&E psycho-drama series Bates Motel and was credited in four episodes from season one and one episode from season three. Of note on the series, Balas wrote the scripts for episodes 1x08, "A Boy and His Dog" and 3x08, "The Pit".
