The Bay is an American independent horror film of the "found footage" subgenre. It was written and directed by Barry Levinson and co-written by Michael Wallach. It was produced by Automatik Entertainment and first screened at the Toronto Film Festival on November 4th, 2012. The premise of the movie involves a parasitic viral outbreak that sweeps through a Maryland town over Fourth of July weekend after dozens of dead fish are found washed up on the shore.
