"What's Wrong With Norman" is the third episode of season one of the suspense thriller series Bates Motel. The episode was directed by Paul A. Edwards and written by Jeff Wadlow based on story concepts developed by Ehrin, Carlton Cuse and Anthony Cipriano. It first aired on A&E on Monday, April 1st, 2013. In this episode, Dylan Massett gets a job working as a guard at a marijuana field with Ethan Chang. An altercation with his brother Norman reveals some disturbing aspects of Norman's personality. Norman and Emma discover the Deputy Zack Shelby is harboring a dark secret.
